Resumé
This website is free as always without any advertisements to bother or annoy you. The author cares deeply for your attention and his own, and has always disliked having to see advertisements and marketing on websites that only had some small bits of useful information. The author also greatly dislikes having to have subscriptions to materials that are of better quality, that writers would like others to have readily. The author is greatly in favor of enabling easy access to good quality information and for enabling the research of those who have difficulty finding good materials quickly to continue their thinking and writing on topics that would help others.
This website is the free digital Book and Journal of Mattanaw, available to all without distractions.
However, print publications are also extremely desirable and usable. While the author can provide free content using his own resources digitally online, here, he cannot freely provide print publications. Additionally, it is best if there is some way to earn off of efforts. For this purpose the Book and Journal of Mattanaw can be subscribed to in print, and individual book issues can be purchased individually. The Book and Journal of Mattanaw is large, and the print materials also provides a way to hand-select relevant content the reader might be most interested in, to provide in a format that is more easily read.
Below are subscription options along with books for purchase. Purchases contribute to the author’s writing and also his publishing company, that he hopes will have low enough costs in the future to invite other readers for publishing their works. Initially what is offered are special works of quality and interest from the author. These same works appear in this digital copy of the Book and Journal of Mattanaw, but are in a good quality print format, enabling reading anywhere and easy scanning of pages and images. Book proceeds go to the author for continuing his work and for the building and development of his publishing company. They come in two formats, a standard paperback format, and a hard or clothbound format with a greater donation, that provides extra support and a better quality result. Purchases and subscriptions in the higher categories result in being named donors acknowledged for support in all the versions of the print and hard/clothbound books.
One can subscribe to the Book and Journal of Mattanaw by making a donation on the following GoFundMe:
[Subscription availalbe on Square and GoFundMe Soon]
One can donate any amount to support, but donations of $500 or more result in subscriptions to future issues.
For books that have already been published, it is too late to acknowledge there, but if an earlier edition of the book is purchased in hard or clothbount format, the buyer/supporter will be acknowledged in print in the next book released instead.
Abandoning Equality is a work of moral philosophy and ethics challenging equalitarianism, with the objective of pushing forward fairness and justice. It is the view of the author that people are ambivalent about their commitments to equality, and that we have obstructed pathways to fairness with confusions about what equality consists of.

I am a retired executive, software architect, and consultant, with professional/academic experience in the fields of Moral Philosophy and Ethics, Computer Science, Psychology, Philosophy, and more recently, Economics. I am a Pandisciplinarian, and Lifetime Member of the High Intelligence Community.
Articles on this site are eclectic, and draw from content prepared between 1980 and 2024. Topics touch on all of life's categories, and blend them with logical rationality and my own particular system of ethics. The common theme connecting all articles is moral philosophy, even if that is not immediately apparent. Any of my articles that touch on "the good and virtuous life" will be published here. These articles interrelate with my incipient theory of ethics, two decades in preparation. This Book and Journal is the gradual unfolding of that ethic, and my living autobiography, in a collection of individual books that fit into groups of book collections.
This Book and Journal is already one of the largest private websites and writings ever prepared, at nearly 1 million words, greater than 50,000 images and videos, and nearly one terabyte of space utilized. The entire software architecture is of my creation. Issues of the book for sale can be found under featured. These texts are handmade by myself, and are of excellent quality, and constitute the normal issues of my journal that can also be subscribed to. The entire work is a transparent work in progress. Not all is complete, and it will remain in an incomplete state until death.
